WJL Custom Frames were made by Jeff Lindsay, who very early on abandoned road frame to make mountain bikes under the Mountain Goat label (1979-1980).

He later sold that business to some Taiwanese folks from the bike industry and they turned his facility into a OEM production house for tigged aluminum frames. A year or so after that joint venture started, Jeff left the business and now makes tools for glass blowers, one of his other passions. He still lives in Chico, CA., where WJL Custom Frames was started.
