Does this mean that Columbus seat tubes at one time took smaller seat posts than the 27.2 for SL and 27.0 for SP bikes? When did the change from smaller diameter tubes take place? I ask because this will help me date my Benotto, which has an old style (early 70's) Columbus sticker and takes a 26.8 post, but has some late 70's features like under BB cable routing, brazed on shifter bosses and barzed on brake cable guides.

BTW, just got a nice Benotto pantograph stem off ebay. Cone expander, but a front accessible bar clamp bolt and a threaded round washer to anchor the bolt. Any guesses on manufacturer? (does fit Cinelli Bars, but clamping bolt makes think another maker). Anyone got a 26.8 Benotto panto'd seatpost or chainrings?
