I was told at the Cirque that the late 60's P13 I brought was a refinish but I ascertained from the originalowner upon my return that itr was in fact a basically unused original stored in his cool dry place for decades. It's so obvious, too. the sheen, the clarity, the feeling of the originality really does something the restos cannot do in bringing back the days of my hours in the back of the Lawn, Hardware, Garden, lock, key, and bike shop waiting for such a machine to surface amidst the iron Varsities, Continantals, and Suburbans.

More power tothe buyer! This bike was the same price as a tig welded ultegra equipped machine from China here on our floor that will be closed out one of these days or end up a year or two old at a swapmeat for a fractionof it's cost.

So what if there were an abundance of these units made in that year?
Bring 'em on.
