Depends on whether the existing bottom bracket threading is intact. Reaming for the Mavic unit chamfers only the outer portion of the shell and shouldn't take out too many threads to preclude the use of a conventional bottom bracket. However, if the Mavic was used because the threads were trashed, your options would be more limited and a bit more drastic (i.e. overtapping to italian, filling by brazing and retapping, and some of the other options mentioned in a recent thread).
