Bob: I'm not sure. From what I've been told, April is in a very fragile state right now, so without knowing her it's difficult for me to say.
I remotely knew Chris a years ago, and had a sale pending with him, a few years later. Through my failure, procrastination and other issues I regretfully failed to complete the sale. It was completely my fault and I had apologized to Chris. When I heard Chris had passed, I thought that I should post a collection for a donation in his memory, as I've done this before, but for friends birthdays and other things, but not at somebodies passing.
I regret not knowing Chris better than I did, but in my visit with him years ago at the Hall of Fame Show, I learned what a good person he was and how knowledgeable he was about bikes. We also shared a passion for Volvos, as I was restoring a 67 wagon at the time. How many folks would let you follow them from Somerville, New Jersey to their house to view a cycle collection, considering he didn't know me at all. We spent a good part of an afternoon talking about cycles before I took of to Boston.
