I just purchased a very original Legnano Roma that has this seat post and the B17 "Campagnolo Model" saddle.The bike and gear dates from the late 50s- early 60s.The rail from the saddle is stamped with an A60 & Patent No.662070. Also the underside of the saddle is embossed with an H followed by the letters TDL vertically.

There was a Unicanitor to fit the special Campagnolo post - I have one and I think there was an Ideale too. The Brooks saddles are far rarer than the special fittings for the seatpost - even in England the saddles are really quite uncommon - I have only seen one for sale in the last two or three years. They were as far as I can tell introduced in 1959.
