Afternoon Folks,
I have two frame sets looking for a home; One is French and the other English.
1) Gitane Criterium (1983) - 56cm (c2c); 56.5cm (tt); 74o seat tube/73o head tube; Frame is Super Vitus 983 ("Special DB Chrome Moly"); Fork is Super Vitus 980; Vitus adjustable dropouts; 125mm spacing; Short point lugs w/cut outs; Full braze-ons including one water bottle cage; Takes a 26.4mm seat post; Uses a recessed brake bolt. The good news is it's threaded English!! The bad news is it's "cosmetically challenged" but I will supply a full Gitane decal set (no Vitus decals, and sorry, this is the last decal set I have!!!) with the Frame set. $100.00 (shipped within the U.S.).
2) 1973 Witcomb "Ultra-Lite" - This is an English Witcomb and is full 531 and measures 60cm (c2t) with a 56.5cm top tube; 120mm spacing; Full braze-ons (one for a waterbottle cage). And, from the '72 Witcomb catalog: ".....hand cut lugs, bracket shell drilled, hollow crown, vertical campag dropouts, special styled seat stays, finishing in seat tube with Continental seat clip................."
This frame is also "cosmetically challenged" but if it was my size I'd be keeping it and having it restored (although you may like the patina???!!). $150.00 (shipped in the U.S.).
Now for the Rims:
1) One Pair: Fiamme Red Label (rectangular) tubulars; Polished; 36o; VGC; $45.00 (shipped within the U.S.).
2) One Pair: Rigida Steel Chrolux; 27" x 1 1/4"; 36o; Interesting serrations on the braking surface! Good condition. $30.00 (shipped - U.S.).
