Tony,

Please change the description immediately. I was just kidding about the "Invalid" model. There's no such thing. And this frame is very definitely not rare! I'm very sorry for misleading you. I was just trying to be funny, because the item number you first gave came up as Invalid.

There are probably dozens of list members with more knowledge of Raleigh models than me. But it might be a Gran Sport from the mid 1970s. I just can't remember if the Gran Sport had forged dropouts or not. If the Gran Sport had forged dropouts, then it's a Super Course. The Super Course had stamped dropouts, which this frame has. It doesn't have Campagnolo dropouts which I think excludes the International. It's not a Competition because that had Huret dropouts, I believe.

But both the Super Course and the Gran Sport had Nervex lugs, which this frame has. So, if the Gran Sport had stamped dropouts, I'd say it's a Gran Sport, because of the black panel on the down tube.

Also, if you can read the decal, it may tell you about the tubing. The Super Course had Reynolds 531 in the three main tubes only. The fork blades and stays were not 531. But the Gran Sport had 531 in all the tubes, if my memory serves me well. Is there a Reynolds sticker on either of the fork blades? If so, I'd say it's a Gran Sport.
