Should it have a Campagnolo Gran Sport rear derailleur , or , a Campagnolo Record rear derailleur , or , a Valentino rear derailleur , or even , a single-pulley-wheel Sport rear derailleur ????????

Or is the reason it has a Campagnolo clamp-on shift lever , because the brazed-on boss has French size threads ?? Should it have had Simplex or Huret , from the beginning ??
