Woohoo! I didn't expect to get them for that price (I was the only bidder),
but I think the misspelled "Weinmann" may have had something to do with it.
Or maybe nobody else wants them. Fine with me!
I don't see any difference between these brake calipers and the ones on the
CR site: http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Switzerland/Weinm_carr_pix.htm
However, the brake levers do look different, and not just because of the
different color. Several questions:
Does anybody know what years these two brake sets are from? (The eBay
seller guessed early 80's for his/my set.)
Does the one on the CR site have aero cable routing? It's hard to tell from
the photo.
How good are these brakes at actually stopping?
What is their reach?
