As if dreaming about Borrani wire wheels for the exotic Italiano automobile I'll never have , was not bad enough !!
Note 1 , the "hub" of this right crank has ended up with the appearance of a smaller and lighter version of the hub of a wire wheel intended for use on a sports car .
Note 2 , the ultimate name during our "on-topic" era , for spoked wire wheels used on sports cars , was Borrani .
Note 3 , Borrani used licensed patents from Rudge-Whitworth . Which explains why the familiar symbol of the Rudge hand , as seen on Rudge bicycle head-tube badges , and Rudge "right-hand crank spiders" , is also seen on the hubcaps of automobiles from such names as Ferrari , Lamborghini , Maserati , Alfa Romeo , etc. , etc. , etc . ( oh! and sometimes even Aston Martins! or the occasional Hudson , from Detroit Michigan U.S.A. . . )
