How about the "Trott-Helm", a hard shell helmet designed by German road champion and Olympian Wilfried Trott? Perhaps it was a product mainly/only available in Germany? I have one; very thin, flexible, plastic type material. It also as an insert web of plastic that keeps your head away from direct contact with the shell. I also have a couple of photos of him racing in this helmet. Angel Garcia Long Valley, NJ
