I just took a look at the one on my '78 Masi. Yes, this Avocet Touring III has aluminum rails and integral saddle bag eyelets. My wife has two Avocet Touring WIIs: One with eyelets (so does my Touring II), and the other without.

If the eyelets represent older models, why were they discontinued on "touring" saddles? The weight reduction couldn't have been terribly significant. Possible a CPSC thing -- anyone know of catastrophic saddle eyelet failures?
