Dale:

On the subject of the alleged Eric Heiden Cinelli Laser: the bike isn't painted in team colors, it's the same light blue-grey metallic color that I've seen on other Lasers.

Now that you mention it, my first thought upon seeing the bike was how small it looked compared to the relatively jumbo Schwinn Paramount (also supposed to be Heiden's) which used to hang in the Wheelsmith.

Anybody know Eric, or have more info? I understand he's a doctor somewhere in the Bay area?

Is that true? Can anyone confirm that? I sure do not remember that being discussed back at that time. He had a sponsorship obligations that did not include Cinelli bikes. Was it maybe painted to look like a Murray or whatever?
