Aiya. It has always amazed me how two people with the same passions can also have so much conflict with each other. To tell you the truth, I can sympathize with both parties.

There are list members who have been on this list since time immemorial that have probably seen their share of topics that come and go over and over again. So in one sense I can see how some posters may get a little jaded; where common topics have become almost sadly but truthfully tiresome; while at the same time trying to figure out how they can get as much pleasure and participation from this list as they did when they first joined.

Yet on the other hand, you have the newbie such as myself that looks at each of those 50+ messages that arrive daily like a kid in a candy store. There's so much you don't know, so much you want to know, and quite frankly you don't know where to begin sometimes, for the wealth of knowledge out there can be overwhelming.

So let's squash the beef, okay? :-)

And in the spirit of friendships, old and new revolving around classic bikes; a friend of mine, a fellow bicycle enthusiast, and owner of 20+ bikes, says that for all the love he has of bikes and bike doodads and trinkets, he said the most important thing to him were the wonderful stories you could tell others about you and your bike(s). Anyone got a story to share, if this is not too off-topic?
