Remove paint from an old frame? I have an older frame that I'd like to repaint, and I'm wondering if there is any magic chemicals that anyone is aware of?

I agree with Brian on Jasco stripper. I good tip to make this messy job a bit easier is to get a bucket of planer-chips (sawdust) from a local cabinet shop or saw mill. Once you've scraped the big stuff off with a putty knife, work the planer-chips into the lugs and tight spots with a stiff brush. The chips will absorb all the muck coming off the frame and keep it from sticking to the brush. You can also grab handfuls (with good gloves on) and work it across the tubes to really pick up all the wet spots and any trapped goo still on the frame. Best part is you can sweep up the whole mess when through (no more stepping in big dollops of stripper). I use this technique for furniture refinishing and it works great on lugged bike frames as well.
