Hello,
And thanks to the listmembers who have helped me with some detective work on establishing an identity for this track bike. It is a Raleigh "Professional??" track bike probably from 1973, so it is appropriate for the site. It is however painted as a Schwinn Paramount team bike. In conversation with Richard Schwinn, he and his track frame builder from way back, decided that it has been painted with team decals from the 70's. It was suggested that it may have been a sponsored rider, who, didn't want to give up his ride and had the bike painted to match the team. Next is the tough question, for the San Diego crowd, or???, was there a known Schwinn team rider in the San Diego area??? in the 70's, who might have had this work performed??? It would be cool to know??? Thanks very much, John "with a Raleigh/Mount track bike" Morrison SoCal
