When I bought my Casati I expected it to be a bit of a project. I hope you can help with the following list of puzzlers

1. The cables run through the frame tubes. I had hopes that there would be some sort of guide brazed inside to run the cable through. The rear brake cable had no such guide through the top tube. I was ultimately able to coax the cable through the rear opening by taking the seat post out and sticking my finger into the top tube. Needless to say I am somewhat fearful of changing the derailleur cables. Will I have to pull the BB? I guess only time will tell.

2. How often do you do the big, everything-off-the-frame maintenance?

3. Does anyone have a source for ferrules? The rear brake cable seems to require a special ferrule where it enters and exits the top tube. I have one. The other is a standard piece that doesn't fit well.

4. The saddle is a Flite with titanium rails. It creaks when I ride. Is there anything I can do to quiet it?

5. The front derailleur is Campagnolo, but what model? It looks kind of clunky, as if it is a braze-on model with an adaptor. The cage has either holes or slots, I can't remember right now. I always thought Super Record fronts were just like Nuovo Record except for the relieved cage.
