<snip> So there seem to be be at least 3 phases of weinmann centerpulls :

(a) Name "Wienmann" engraved into the arms, arms look like sidepull arms. (b) Red-label name "Weinmann" on arm, pivot bolts have _red metal washers_ (c) Red-label name "Weinmann" on arm, pivot bolts have _red plastic washers_ and pivot bolts have associated nuts on the backside (unlike (b) above). (d) Various special-color labels (e.g. black, even blue) starting when? (e) End of production ?

<snip> Just to repeat a warning I posted quite a while ago: If your Weinmanns with engraved arms have their pivot assemblies riveted into the backing plate (the one that mounts to the frame), examine the backing plates regularly for cracks. I have these on my '65 Paramount, but the ones on it replaced a rear with cracks. I do try to brake gently with that bike. I have .jpgs if anyone needs to see them.

thanks!
