Subject: [CR]Learco Guerra with Cambio Corsa gear

I outed my friend Gigi auction on Italian ebay for his Learco Guerra bike with Cambio Corsa gear. Gigi has received many requests for information, many from listmembers. I have been trying to help Gigi as best as possible in answering the questions but since many are asking the same information, Gigi has asked me to post with as much information as is possible.

The auction can be seen: http://tinyurl.com/h3tl

The frame is very large by period standards: 60 cm. The measurement has been taken from the center of the BB to the bottom of the seatlug binder collar. This would correspond to about a 59 cm center to center or a 61 cm center to top.

The cranks are marked FB on the rear side and Learco Guerra on the front. The pedals are Sheffield Sprint and appear to be the originals. The rims are not correct, but Gigi should be able to help out procuring some appropriate ones. The handlebars are later additions as it would appear that the first owner had switched the bike over to upright bars when he gave up racing. The frame has definitely been repainted before. There is no writing on the seatlug binder collar.

Shipping to the US will cost about 230 euros with Fedex or about 140 euros if shipped with the Italian post office (at your own risk.) Gigi is a chef in his family's hotel in the vacation town Riva del Garda (on the Northern end of the Lago di Garda), so if you want to arrange pick- up in person during a vaction, it would make for a pleasant detour. The hotel is very nice, as well as affordable.

There is just less than 24 hours left in the auction.
