Subject: [CR]FS: Zeus f/f and parts

A project I really wanted to play with, but I have no time, so away it goes. I just got through stripping this Zeus f/f tonight, and realized I simply do not have time or inclination to clean everything up and use it on something else, so, frame/fork and parts are all available for sale.

This was a complete, original Zeus from probably the early 70s. Includes nearly everything you need to make a complete bike, *except* the front wheel--which I misplaced (don't ask). However, included is a brand-spanking -new correct Zeus hf front hub to build said wheel. You provide the rim. Rear wheel is original and intact.

Even includes a Zeus pump that works! Partial parts list includes Zeus 2000 cp brakes and matching levers. Seatpost. Zeus suede saddle in ok condition. One brake is missing a half a bolt on one side. These are available from Renaissance cycles or I can get them and send them to you, as you like. Zeus Criterium derailleurs (the GS copy in the rear, the NR copy in the front), the older-style Zeus Criterium cranks (very pretty) with rings in ok shape. Zeus shifter levers. Zeus pedals. Zeus head-set. Zeus bb. All the little Zeus bits to finish off the bike--cable guides, stops, ferrules, and the pump clip. Parts are soiled with road-dirt, but will clean up very well.

Older-style Cinelli stem, drilled for a cable, with those weird bars you put your elbows on, whatever the heck they're called (man, I *am* a retro-grouch), with a nifty Scott one-piece plug for the ends. Time-trial bars? Whatever. I'd toss 'em and get real bars.

Frame and fork are turquoise blue with half-chrome fork and stay ends. Chrome is lightly corroded, but will clean up well. No peeling or bad rust, as far as I can see. Frame has a little rust where the brake cable clamps were, on the top tube. Re-install the clamps, and viola! Gone.

Paint itself, in general, is good, probably a 6-7 on a scale of 1-10.

I'm almost certain this was the original paint. The original Zeus graphics are long gone, crappy foil that they were. However, I have a brand new set of late 70s Zeus graphics that I'll throw in. They'd look fine on this frame.

Frame is 59cm c-t seat tube; 57cm c-c top tube. Nice long-point lugs in typical 70s Razzeza style with the typical arrow-head-style cutouts. Worth buying everything for the parts alone, resell the frame on ebay if it doesn't fit you, and you come out with a nice parts-group for cheap. the bb is English threaded I'm almost positive...the shell is 68mm, what else could it be?

$275 shipped, for all. I take a small loss, but I have to clear some stuff out, and this is part of the loot.

Make me an offer!
