Hi all,

Just a quick note to introduce myself to the group. I have always liked classic lugged bikes. I have cycled for quite some time but have not been into organized cycling groups for a long time. I started my bike history in the early 70's with a Gitane Tour de France which was quickly replaced with a '72 vintage Colnago that I raced and ultimately met its demise with a collision with an auto in '76. Next bike was a PX-10 that was replaced in '78-79 with a road racing McLean. I have ridden this bike since and have wanted to refurbish it but didn't have a back up bike untill recently to ride while the McLean got restored. The new bike is a +/- '80 Colnago with SR components in exelent condition in the same electric blue as the old '72 model I had. I haven't decided what approach to take with the McLean - all of the campy components many of which came off the '72 Colnago are pretty tired but still work - more or less. One option is to try to return it to a NR group or update to SR that might be easier to do. My occupation is an architect in Atlanta, Ga. I look forward to soaking up some of the collective bike wisdom from the group as I undertake this venture.
