Welcome to the list, Greg. What is an AENDE? Nothing on the CR list for them, and I can't recall running into the name before. Is this the builder's name, initials, acronym or what? Also, what size italian frame are you looking for?

>My name is Gregory Townsend and thanks to Chuck Schmidt I have become addicted to reading this list. I would see Chuck at the Rose Bowl or the local shop and commented to him that I had a stash of old equipment from my junior days that was in my parents basement in the Midwest. He told me that I needed to retrieve it so I had it all shipped to me and I am in the process of restoring two bikes.

>I am working on two bikes for Chuck's Velo Rendezvous this fall. One is an early 60's Mercian Road/Path bike with Airlite hubs, Mephisto rims and a typical mix of English/French components. The other is a 1977 AENDE 531sl frame that I had built when I was a junior. It has mostly Campag components that were lightened by Bruce Bursford and myself. Bruce was a clubmate at Newmarket and fanatical about modifying parts. He later became rather famous with the Ultimate bike and various records. He was unfortunately killed while training by a truck driver dialing a cellphone.
>I have already purchased parts from many people posting on this forum and hope it doesn't get out of hand.I am lacking an Italian bike and would like to find a mid seventies Wilier in copper someday.
