Claud Butler re-inforced track ends were definitely fitted in 1952 and prior to this. I own a 1952 "International Path" track iron, which is fitted with these ends Frame number 524 1568, the number is in two rows. Second owner since new. Somewhere here is the original bill of sale and Butler's-owners specification sheet. This frame was made April 52. There were three main models listed in 52 "International Path" lugless price £12 17 6, "Worlds Championship Path" brazed with Continental lugs No.1 at £16 5 0 and the "Olympic Path" bi-laminated at £16 10 0 normally fitted with Olympic ring DT transfer. It was an extra £5 17 2 for a fully chromed frame at this time and would you believe it lug lining was extra. The model in the eBay photos is probably the lugged World Championship but I have never seen this type of seat stay cluster shown in the photo used on this model before, they were normally far more simpler and elegant on this model. We need the number which would greatly assist.

Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK
