I am afraid I have to beg to disagree - The World's Championship Path model is in the 1951 and 1952 catalogues - the 1951 catalogue states that the lugs are similar in concept to the Massed Start road model, in the 1952 catalogue the lugs are actually pictured and are practically identical to those of the Massed Start model of the year before. Both lugs are a variant on the Nervex Pro. However the lugs on the frame being auctioned are an absolute match for the so called 'Continental' lugs on the International Path in the 1949 catalogue. A key difference between the two lug sets is the long spearpoint on both the top and bottom head lugs on the front of the head tube. The frame auctioned has the spearpoints as do the 'Continental' lugs of the International Path but the World's Championship Path model lugs do not not have the spearpoints. The World's Championship Path model is also in the 1953, 1954 and 1955 catalogues all with the identical lugs featured in the 1952 catalogue. It is important to bear in mind that prior to 1949 other lugs were used on the International Path model. Does anyone happen to have a 1950 C-B catalogue? It is the one year in the 1950s I am missing and so do not know what models were marketed with what lugs that year. What is it Mick, that makes you think the frame being auctioned is a World's Championship Path model?
