My photocopy of the 1984 Schwinn catalog shows that the Le Tour and the Super Le Tour both used SunTour ARX derailleurs. That year the Le Tour was "Warm Silver" or "Dark Blue," and the Super Le Tour was "Scarlet" or "Dark Grey." Of course, the colors might very well be different than the previous year's model.
Both bikes featured 4130 cro-mo double-butted frames with chrome dropouts in the back and high-tensile forks. The Super Le Tour, at 26 lbs., was a pound lighter than the Le Tour.
