Yes, I know this from the lab.We used to remove our markings on agar plates for growing bacteria with alcohol. Try 70% alcohol first then , if needed, 95%. Use care- Some gold trim lug lining and pinstripe paints were alcohol soluble- like those on my old Shogun. But even non-water soluble magic marker is usually alcohol soluble.I am assuming you are sure it is magic marker. I mention this only because some touchup paints for cars and testors model paints are now sold in a felt tip tube like a mgic marker and might give the same textural appearance.

A prior owner used black magic marker to outline the lugs on a frame I recently acquired. Is there any way to remove it?

Thanks!
