This could be a repaint all right, but if it is, it appears to be a quite authentic repaint...and it might even be original, but somehow I doubt it. Very cool bike. I'm thinkin' it's worth more like 250K yen rather than 500K yen, esp. if it's a repaint. But in Japan it's a different world...bikes like that one have to be quite rare there. Heck, they're rare *here*!

That Masi appears to be one of the rare-ish transition bikes. Note what appear to be the flat stay-caps, coupled with the Dubois lugs with cutouts in the sides. If it's what it appears to be it would have been made not long before the Special disappeared and the GC took its place.
