Subject: [CR]Maruishi (Mr. Goldfinger) update

Hello Gang,

Bill Mattinson and I had a fun little field trip today. We went to look at the gold plated and carbon fiber tubed Maruishi. I took a bunch of photos but there was a bit of a time restriction, so I couldn't find the best location for shooting this shiny bike. Most of them are okay and I have posted them on Yahoo at this link:

The seller, Mike, not a list member (yet!) has a few bikes he wants to sell, all within our timeline, dating from the late 60's to mid 70's. All Raleigh and one really nice Italvega. Major drool factor, for me anyway. He is a big Raleigh and Carlton fan. All frames are big, starting at about 57cm up to 60cm, with the exception being a very VERY nice early Professional that is 53 cm. Too small for me or I would have gone home with it. He had to be somewhere so we couldn't sit around and discuss prices but I think he will be fair, and these bikes are all very nice! I am planning on going back to his place soon because we are going to do some bike parts swapping (bonus!) and I will take photos, details, prices and post to the list unless he wants to do it first.

A fun way to spend a couple of hours and with good company. Bill shared his PBP experiences while we were driving, so there was never a dull moment.
