One last thing in this thread and yes I know one
component is OT. The Shimano Dura-Ace triple front
derailleur is designed for the kind of range Jerry is
using; one of my customers uses it on a tandem with
26/40/55 chainrings on Deore XT cranks similar to the
30/39/53 that it's made for. I seriously doubt that
it would work with any pre-Zephyr TA cranks due to
chainring/crankarm clearance, though.
