Subject: [CR]Classic Retro Ride

I had an unbelievably pleasant ride today. Met up with 2 old friends and went to a MS 40 mile ride in Cook's Forest, Pa. 40 miles of flat along the river riding on Newly paved roads. It was a beautiful 68 degree day without rain and great company. Saw a very nice Mondonico along the way. A Lambert buzzing down the road. I had one of my steel Bianchis which soothed along the roads. The most interesting was my buddy Bill's old Viscount. It got a great deal of attention. 70s...newly powder coated in monkey ass orange with blue stripes...lugs done in gold...headtube and seattube with Creme...beautiful looking bike. Mix of Old Shimano parts and SR crank. While cruising along he was complemented on the Shimano 600 tan brake hoods and drilled out levers and funky ultegra shifters...and I heard his say...I got them from a CR member in NJ...Chris Beyer. I thought, Chris would have loved to hear that those shifters aren't sitting somewhere, rather out there cruising down the roadways!

Great ride, Good memories.
