Listmembers:

I have two Clement Criterium Seta tires looking for a good home.

The first tire is marked "Clement Criterium Seta" in block letters in yellow box, with "Colle main" in yellow block print on black background, marked "Made in Italy."

The second tire is marked "Clement" in yellow script on black background, "Criterium" in red script on black background, a tricolor flag and yellow "Seta", followed by yellow script "Servizio Corse," marked "Made in Thailand."

I can't tell you the age of either tire. Both tires have been lightly ridden but are in good shape cosmetically. The tread is very good on both. Both tires have had new tubes and base strips applied by Tire Alert and have not been ridden since, so there's no glue on the base strips. They both hold air (as much as any latex tubed sewup ever does, anyway).

BUT. Tire #1 is noticeably stretched and requires no effort whatever to get onto a rim. Tire Alert says that the fabric of tire #2 is weakened and they don't recommend that it be ridden at full pressure.

Both tires would be just fine and look great on a display bike, but I'm not sure I'd go out on the road with them. Unfortunately, I don't have any such bikes so the tires do me not good at all.

I just spent $15 on each tire for the new tubes and base strips. You can have them both for $50, and I'll pay shipping to CONUS address. If interested, please reply via e-mail to mooredw@earthlink.net.

Thanks.
