To alleviate your bottomed-out crank arms, you could try a Phil Wood BB. I think that the diameter of the axle flats are slightly bigger, or the taper is slightly different. I know that my Campy NR/SR cranks have not seated as deeply on a Phil as on a Campy axle. Axle lengths are either 113 or 116 mm, with the right side offset by 1 or 2 mm (longer).

Maybe you have a friend or acquaintance that will let you test fit your cranks on a Phil BB before you cough up the $cash for your own.
