Subject: [CR]Masi wool trainer update

Ciao Masi tifosi:

Well, after several e-mails and phone calls, and hours spent working on the mock-up design in Photoshop, I'm finally making serious headway in getting the Masi trainers made. Meeting with the Haro folks, talking to Ted Kirkbride (who owns the rights to the 'Masi' name in the U.S.), and going back and forth on this project, we are down to the final approval process. The last remaining hurdle is actually booking time on the knitting and embroidery machines in Italy to get the production started. If we have to dye more wool, it will add roughly 30 days to the production schedule. I'll try to schedule this project as soon as I get the green light from Haro.

Here's where all you Masi tifosi play an important role in getting these beautiful trainers on your bodies:

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE ONE OR MORE MASI TRAINERS, PLEASE E-MAIL ME THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

1.. Name___________________________ 2.. Phone number_____________________ 3.. Total quantity of trainers, and sizes desired_______________

These will be cut pretty much the same as the Molteni trainers on the Vintage Velos website, and the Cinelli trainers. Available sizes will be: SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL If you have questions about which size to order, just ask me. These are AMERICAN sizes, like if you went into The Gap or Macy's (or my favorite department store, La Rinescente) and purchased a sweater off the shelf. They will be 100% Merino wool, beautifully crafted by loving Italian hands in Northern Italy. These trainers will be the same luxurious quality as the trainers that Woolistic has made in the past. Those folks that own Woolistic or Alessandro jerseys know that Alex pays close attention to every detail. These will be real conversation pieces. Guaranteed.

Because we don't know the details of the order yet, I can't quote a definite price. But my ballpark guess is approximately $170 per trainer. That is a BARGAIN, when you compare the price to a 'regular' Woolistic wool jersey off the website - for example, a short-sleeve Molteni jersey, at $131.00, shipping included.

If you would like to see the mock-up of what the jersey will look like, send me an e-mail and I'll send you a jpeg image.

Looking forward to wearing my Masi trainer this fall and winter.....I hope you are too!

Best regards,

Jan Johnson
