Slightly off topic, so apologises first, but destined to become a classic.
What must of been one of the last few Ilkeston built Raleigh frames? Lugged "Custom Brazed" (according to the transfer) Reynolds 653 steel. I would guess it is from the early 90s, and hence off topic, but a nice frame nevertheless that could easily have been built 10 years earlier. There were probably not that many of these made.
Single purple colour, very neat short plain lugs, standard braze ons, sloping fork crown. New, never built up beyond the headset. 62cm C-T seat tube, 58cm c-c top tube.
Which bulk manufacturer offers lightweight lugged steel now? Buy this one for only $295. Delivery at cost. Photos are available, please contact me off list if you are interested.
