Ray,

As a person who has NO qualms about using Sun Tour components on his European bicycles, I prefer the Campagnolo bar ends to the Sun Tour bar cons. "New" bar cons are just fine, but I have experienced breakdowns of the ratcheting mechanism on the Sun Tours and for that reason alone Campagnolo is my shifter of choice! They are reliable, predictable and long lived.
