I have a Colnago in their champagne color (is it Champagne Rosa, or something like that?), seemingly original paint and decals, that is almost exactly like the bike in the auction, except for the following differences: - Mine has an additional little extension of "tube" from the rear brake mount, sticking out a millimeter or two toward the seat tube. - Auction bike decals are yellow with black borders, and mine are black with yellow borders. -The Colnago Super stay decal shown on the auction bike is on the drive side (probably on the non drive too?), where mine is on the non-drive, and instead has a large "chrome" decal with the same writing on it as a drive side chain stay protector.
My questions are whether or not the NOS auction bike is correctly dated as EARLY 1970s, and if I can assume my bike to be of the same vintage? If not, what then? Pins are visible through the b.b. inside the seat and down tube, and also at the low end of the steerer tube. The only factory stampings I can find are what appear to be "K 11" on the outside lower part of the drive side dropout.
Any ideas??? Thanks...
