Marty, I have a 1979 Bianchi Rekord with 27" clinchers, and the long (normal) reach brakes are at the very bottom of their adjustments. I think I would have a hard time finding brakes long enough for (700c) tubulars. As for components, it came with a mix of Ofmega, Huret, ITM, and DiaCompe (none of it high end).
