Well, it appears to have aluminum pivot arms, so it's not 1st Gen. It's also missing both the cage attaching nut and one adjuster screw assembly (or is the screw seized/ broken off in the body? If so, it's likely to be toast).
I'm guessing that the cage and pivot arms were replaced with newer parts, but I can't be 100% sure.
Is the non-slotted cable opening older than the slotted one, or newer?
