Paul Williams was asking about stainless steel derailleur housing. I have found the inner core of a MIG welder conduit to be very useful. If you know a garage or welding company ask them to keep their old conduits - this is the cable that carries gas, power and wire to the welding torch. Strip it all out to recycle the copper and the inner sleeve which is s/steel and just like the real thing. Good for early style brake cable too.
