I do know that it is not as easy as it might sound... Preparing the surfaces to receive the clear coat (varnish to you UK folk!) is crucial, cleaning, deglazing, getting rid of fisheye producing agents without damaging the old paint, striping and decals....... and remember that the (possibly irreplaceable) decals are extremely sensitive and subject to being dissolved or resisting the clear coat paint itself, potentially resulting in a helluva mess. So don't just grab a spray can and start painting away...
