Like Jay, I noticed the brakes--also the shift levers and the seat stay caps are the earlier style. This looks earlier (and nicer) than an '81, though the stem appears more recent than some of the parts. I suspect a bike that has had a few "upgrades," like maybe a replacement NR rear derailleur that might have led the seller off track.

Steve Barner, who thinks the decals on his Colnago Master are ugly, in Bolton, Vermont (2' of snow on the ground and still coming down--the only place we're riding naked is on the rollers, next to the wood stove).
