Anyone care to give me more of a rundown, on the advantage of Reynolds 531 ; is it a strength and durability issue? Weight? I have two Raleighs, Super Tourist ( member.nifty.ne.jp/suga/tube/r531s.htm ) and a Grand Prix, I think, Tensile Steel, and I think, the Grand Prix is much quicker, handles really lightly vs. the tourist, with everything else, being almost equal. Maybe the Tourist, which one doesn't hear about as much, is built exactly for that, Touring. Maybe that is the difference. By the way, the Super Tourist I have, is post 1980, has drop bars, as opposed, to some seventies versions, with the straight over on top handlebars. THanks.
