There is a slight difference in the rear hubs as far as spacing from hub shell ends. For all intents and purposes they are the same.

Here is an interesting post from rec.bicycles.racing, June 13, 2001 Peter Chisholm responding to a question on C-Record large flange road hubs:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And most of them broke flanges, This is old news. Anybody that doesn't know that the C-Record hi flanges road hubs and now the track hubs will not take a road pounding isn't keepin' up on what's what, IMO.
I haven't recommended C-Record track hubs for the road, ala fixed gear for 10 years.....
Peter Chisholm Vecchio's Bicicletteria 1833 Pearl ST. Boulder, CO ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As always, my offer to recycle all of those dangerous C-Record large flange hubs whether for road or for track still stands. I will pay the postage.
