I was riding the '49 Bianchi today and noticed something I hadn't noticed before - the flanges on the Campagnolo-labeled hubs have a squarish corner over the area where the bearing fits are located, while the later 3-pc hubs I have (1958) have a very rounded shape there. Also, the spacing between the flanges on the rear hub is much wider on the early hubs than on the late hubs.
When did these changes occur? I'm curious to know which hubs other people may have and what dates are on their locknuts.
The later "rounded" hubs are much nicer looking than the squared ones.
