Raoul:

Don't fel too bad, I've made a lifelong study of Paramounts, I'm trying to compile a comprehensive history to be published like Chuck Schmidt's Campy Time Line and I've found there is a "gray area" regarding Paramount componentry from the early 50's to the early 60s. Dave Staub and I used to spend days together talking about it. Dave provided me with copies of the Schwinn Reporter (the company newspaper) article, with photos, about the 56 Olympic team bikes which indicated that the road bikes had Campy Gran Sport rear and Simplex "suicide" front derailleurs. That combination is certainly never shown in Schwinn consumer literature or in dealer catalogs. And I just learned from Ted Ernst that the 48 Olympic team bikes had Simplex Tour de France rear derailleurs!

Raoul, move over, I'm confused too.
