Additional info - the Phil BB offers 3-5 mm lateral adjustment to get the chainline just right. The BB length numbers below assume unworn crankarm tapers. If your tapers are worn such that a Campy arm bottoms out on the spindle, order the next longer Phil bottom bracket (they come in 3mm increments)

126 OLD New Worn

Campy 119 123 Probably OK for Stronglite, Sugino, others TA 123 125 Unique

And you can squeeze some more life out of those old arms! For other OLDs (rear spacing) add 1/2 of the difference - so for a 130mm, round UP 2.5mm to the next available size.

Other lengths are available - check the Phil website. For classic bike applications, you almost always want to use the +N (asymmetric) axle configuration. The website shows a "campagnolo specific" axle configuration in 115mm - Anybody used one ?

The Phil bottom bracket is fair game for the list - it dates from '71. However the current model is is result of 30 years of continous improvement - some of the early ones had a 2 piece axle that was welded in the middle. I've never broken but I've heard of some that did fail.

If YOU have used a Phil BB in another frame with different spacing or other crankarms, please let me know, I'm accumulating a database, having nothing else to do.
