Sometimes it seems that my favorite saddle is the one I'm riding. My Paramount P-15 has a Brooks B-17 Champion Narrow that I can ride all day. I have a Brooks B-15 Champion Swallow that I ride occasionally, and I really like it. But my favorite, the saddle I always return to is Brooks B5N. I have two of them, and I sometimes switch them to whatever bikes I'm riding. They are vented (three holes on top) and the wings are drilled all along the bottom edge. What a fine ride.

Roy- I agree, that french saddle sounds too iccky for me as well. I would like to pose a question. What type of saddle do most CR listers ride? Is everyone a hardcore Brooks disciple? Myself, I have always been a Unica fan or one of the many clones. At least thats what my butt seems to like most. As my cousin was so fond of saying, "a comfy bottom is a happy bottom", and she rode Unicas as well. However, these days I think she is riding Flites (off topic). I would be interested in what saddle most Listers like. I would like to take an informal survey. Please email me with your favorite, either on or off list. Surprise me.       Checking out this Columbine on ebay, http://ebay.com/<blah says the saddle is a "Peau Mousse" leather. Checking on Babblefish, "peau mousse" translates from French as "skin foams". Is this right? Does this saddle make your skin foam (euugh!) or was it made from foaming skin (icck!)? Roy "foam on my beer" Drinkwater Lititz, PA
