Was reviewing last weeks archives this morning and saw there was
a discussion of Mafac Racers and Competitions. We went through
this couple years ago and a chart credited to Sutherlands was
supplied by Andrew Moore and has since been posted on the
Historic Hetchins website. It lists all the models and the
various reach possibilities for each model. Heres the URL:

Also Mike Barry in Toronto has the old catalogs and can get you part numbers, dimensions etc (if not the parts themselves). There was away at one point to buy the different hangers to provide different reaches within a model (Racer, Competition, 2000, etc.)
On taming the howl and making them stop - try the campy "old style" replacement inserts from Kool stop. They slide right into Mafac holders and look very close to original - dont howl (if toed properly) and do stop.
