SIAMT was an Italian consortium (there is a thread on this in the archives).
The alloy flanges are pressed on to the alloy center and can rotate under
torque, so it's not as strong as a Campy Record track hub in terms of torque
transfer between the flanges and whatever effect that has on the spokes. However,
if you're just riding, and not sprinting at a world class level, it doesn't
matter.
I have an identical hub that I've had since the early 70s, my guess is it
dates from the 60s. You might want to check and see if the cones or locknuts are
dated, I don't know if they would be or not.
